Groundhog Day

Today is Groundhog Day, a tradition that dates back to the 18th and 19th centuries with roots in German folklore. According to legend, if a groundhog emerges from its burrow and sees its shadow, it will retreat, signaling six more weeks of winter; if not, spring will arrive early. Each year, many eagerly await Punxsutawney Phil's prediction, adding a touch of humor and anticipation to the season.

National Tater Tot Day

Today is also National Tater Tot Day. Tater Tots were created in 1953 by the founders of Ore-Ida, who sought to utilize leftover potato scraps. They seasoned and shaped the bits into small cylinders, and thus, the Tater Tot was born. Since then, these crispy delights have become a beloved comfort food across the nation.

Countdown to the Super Bowl and Baseball Season
