Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day

Today, we honor the incredible legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., a leader who stood for justice, equality, and unity. Across the Jersey Shore, communities are coming together to celebrate his contributions to civil rights through service and reflection. Whether you're looking to volunteer or attend an educational event, there are plenty of meaningful ways to commemorate the day:

  • Join a local MLK Day of Service project in your area to make a positive impact.

  • Attend a discussion or film screening about Dr. King’s life and work at your nearest library or community center.

  • Take a moment to reflect on his inspiring words, which continue to guide us toward a better future.

Let’s make today a day of action and gratitude for his remarkable achievements.
